Overview

The Director, Global Implementation & Solution Design is accountable for the global development of customer implementation and operational solution design programs. This role will be responsible for providing oversight of the solution design and implementation from an operational perspective. The Candidate will also develop the proper document repository for all global and regional SOPs, Work Instructions and related documents for all Global Accounts and conduct annual reviews to ensure all relevant documents remain current. Supporting the Global & Regional standardization of all documents and processes. The Candidate will support Airfreight, Ocean Freight, Road Freight, CHB, Contract Logistics etc. In addition, this role will be an advisor to all country and regional profit and loss owners.

Responsibilities

• Develop proper solutions to support existing and new potential customer business.
• Provide operational guidance to country P&L owners with respect to job costing related activities.
• Identify, eliminate, and escalate revenue leakage to appointed key contacts within a business unit
• Responsible for driving process & productivity improvements across the globe by leveraging systems and process automation.
• Ensure standardized process is implemented for all customers globally.
• Exhibits and displays a sound understanding in order to monitor key KPI’s to ensure compliance with all critical deadlines and processes.
• Provide oversight of the solution design and implementation from an operational perspective.
• Develop the proper document repository for all global and regional SOPs, Work Instructions and related documents for all Global Accounts
• Conduct annual reviews to ensure all relevant documents remain current.

• Reviewing EDI feed set up for all customer start-up operations
• Develop and implement centralized repositories for all global and regional documentation.
• Oversees all Global operational processes and governance controls. (Lean methodology )
• Support implementing 3PL and transportation solutions at the highest level of Customer Experience
• Develops continuous improvement methodologies in key areas of service and growth for the country and regional owners.
• Liaison to the Global Compliance, Operations, Accounts Receivable, Account Payable, and Intercompany teams related to all items associated with customer requirements and or challenges.
• Advises how to clear un-posted invoices and job profit balances including other items for monthly close.
• Exhibits excellent leadership and influencing skills; ability to build strong business partnerships both externally and internally.
• Ability to train and develop a motivated and driven, high-performance team.
• Other duties and responsibilities will be assigned as business demands deem necessary.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience
• 15+ years of industry experience strongly preferred
• Knowledge of international air, ocean, road freight and customs brokerage processes
• Exhibits strong communication skills both oral and written to motivate staff and develop effective working relationships with peers, executives, and clients.
• Experience with ITAR /OFAC licenses, strongly preferred
• Cargowise TMS experience, strongly preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Ability to work in a fast pace and high-volume environment
• AS400 SME
