Overview

The Talent Acquisition Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing talent acquisition strategies that align with AIT Worldwide Logistics goals. This role oversees the recruitment process to attract, hire, and retain top talent. The Talent Acquisition Manager works closely with department heads to forecast staffing needs and build a strong employer brand.

 

This is a hybrid role - 3 days/week in the headquarter office located in Itasca, IL. 

Responsibilities

  • Manage and mentor a team of talent acquisition professionals as we continue to grow across the organization.
  • Build an employer brand: Develop and promote the company’s employer brand through recruitment marketing efforts, social media, and employer branding campaigns to attract top talent. Act as the brand ambassador for AIT.
  • Develop and execute recruitment strategies: Design innovative and effective talent acquisition strategies to meet organizational goals, including sourcing, recruitment, and hiring for various departments.
  • Interview and selection process: Lead candidate screening and interview processes, providing guidance on best practices, and ensuring a positive candidate experience. Train on interviewing best practices for hiring managers.
  • Data-driven decision-making: Track and analyze key recruitment metrics (e.g., time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, funnel, quality of hire) to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Vendor and agency management: Oversee relationships with external recruitment agencies, applicant tracking system, background and drug screening, and job board providers.
  • Manage the recruitment process: Oversee the full-cycle recruitment process, from job posting to onboarding. Ensure timely and cost-effective hiring. Evaluate and build new processes as we grow as an organization.
  • Collaborate with department heads: Partner with managers and department leaders to understand staffing needs and define job requirements for open roles. Responsible for full-life cycle recruitment for all positions ranging from logistics, operations, management, technical, corporate and sales roles.
  • Sourcing and attracting candidates: Identify and utilize a variety of sourcing channels, including job boards, social media, professional networks, and employee referrals to build a robust talent pipeline.
  • Diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI): Implement strategies to promote diverse hiring and inclusion in recruitment processes.
  • Compliance: Ensure recruitment practices comply with local labor laws, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field (Required)

Experience Qualifications

  • 7+ years full life-cycle recruiting experience Required and
  • 2+ years in a management or leadership role Required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of recruitment tools and technologies, including Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and HR software, iCIMS preferred (High)
  • Proven experience in developing and executing talent acquisition strategies and team (High)
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills (High)
  • Familiarity with employment laws and compliance (High)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on data-driven recruitment decisions (High)
  • Ability to build relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders (Medium)
  • Experience in employer branding and recruitment marketing is a plus (Medium)

Licenses and Certifications

  • Certified Internet Recruiter (CIR)-AIRS Preferred
