Overview

The Senior Accountant will be part of the Corporate Accounting team. This role will be responsible for preparing journal entries, reconciliations, schedules and other financial activities within the organization. A key cog in the monthly close process, this teammate will need to have strong financial analysis skills in order to prepare financial reports and generate and interpret financial records & statements for management. Additionally, with the international growth of the company, there will be opportunities to support the global consolidation process. The Senior Accountant will also be responsible with leveraging previous experience and technical accounting skills to improve the current processes in place.

Responsibilities

  • Perform monthly responsibilities including journal entries, reconciliations and financial schedules.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements.
  • Research technical accounting topics.
  • Support the global consolidation process.
  • Prepare or update accounting policies and memos.
  • Look to continuously improve existing processes.
  • Assist with integration of acquisitions into AIT’s accounting processes and systems.
  • Ensure activities are in compliance with company accounting policies and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Responds to inquiries from management, auditors and other internal customers as needed.
  • Performs various special projects as needed.

Qualifications

Education Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree Required

Experience Qualifications

  • 3+ years working in an accounting or audit department for a mid to large size company or audit firm. Required

Skills and Abilities

  • Self-motivated and a critical thinker. (High proficiency)
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills. (High proficiency)
  • Contribute to a collaborative and friendly culture with a positive attitude and a professional demeanor. (High proficiency)
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications particularly Excel. (High proficiency)
  • Researching technical accounting topics a plus. (Medium proficiency)
  • Audit experience a plus. (Medium proficiency)
  • CargoWise or OneStream experience a plus. (Low proficiency)

Licenses and Certifications

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Preferred
