Overview

The Global Compensation Specialist is a collaborative member of the Compensation team, assisting in the administration and maintenance of global compensation programs and tools. This role involves analyzing jobs by reviewing job-evaluation documentation, crafting detailed job descriptions and defining job qualifications. The specialist will also evaluate and rank positions, conduct pay surveys, analyze pay data, maintain pay structures, complete comprehensive compensation reports, and enforce incentive guidelines to ensure compliance and competitiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Validates job requirements by analyzing jobs, including interviewing knowledgeable persons and studying completed questionnaires. Defines jobs by writing job descriptions, and job qualifications. Benchmark jobs using market pricing system and use established internal data to classify jobs. Assist Talent Management users by answering job description related inquiries
  • Review and provide recommendations on global compensation change requests for teammates
  • Execute compensation team workflow step and respond to requests timely and accurately in global job description management system, job posting system, HRIS System, HR service delivery tool, and emails. Reviews and troubleshoot the systems partnering with the vendor solutions team to resolve high level issues
  • Support global compensation processes such as merit, bonus, profit share, pay data reporting, etc.
  • Participate in annual salary surveys by ensuring proper data matching, compiling and analyzing data and ensure accurate submission of requested data
  • Maintain the global salary structures and salary ranges; ensuring that they are up to date and accurate. Assist in creation of any structures that the compensation team creates
  • Contributes to global compensation and organization success by welcoming related, different, and new requests; helping others accomplish job results. This will include but not be limited to creating, running and reviewing reports for projects and requests or creating job codes within the HRIS system.
  • Execute a consistent process of data audits to clean and standardized employee, job and survey data in all systems; ensuring accurate and valid data
  • Create and continuously update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process documents
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality of all data including but not limited to benefits, payroll, employee and any proprietary information
  • Partner with recruiting on finalized descriptions from our database and job requisition posting system
  • Assist in projects and/or other Compensation team duties
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with all policies and standards
  • The wage range for this position is $63,450.00-$95,172.00 and may vary based on geography as well as relative knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience

Qualifications

Education
• High School Diploma (Required) and
• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Preferred)

Experience
• 5+ years of compensation administration in a global organization (Required) and
• 2+ years market pricing and job description review (Preferred)
