Overview

The Senior Financial Analyst (Home Delivery) is responsible for providing detailed financial analysis and insights to support the company's financial planning and decision-making processes. This role involves forecasting, budgeting, analyzing variances, and preparing financial reports. The Senior Financial Analyst will also work closely with cross-functional teams to provide analytical support for strategic initiatives and business performance. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential for this role along with a thorough understanding of financial regulations and industry best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting:
    • Prepare, analyze, and interpret financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reviews.
    • Support the development of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
    • Analyze financial results against forecasts and budgets, identifying key variances and trends.
    • Provide insights and recommendations to management to improve profitability, cost control, and efficiency.
    • Assist in preparing consolidated financial statements and executive-level presentations.
    • Provide detailed financial analysis on revenue, costs, margins, and capital expenditures.
    • Analyze and report on key financial metrics, KPIs, and trends impacting business performance.
    • Conduct in-depth analysis of operational costs, identify areas for efficiency improvement and recommend cost saving measures.
    • Identify, eliminate, and escalate revenue leakage to Home Delivery Senior Leaders.
    • Identify financial risks and implement strategies to mitigate them while maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and company standards.
  • Strategic Analysis:
    • Develop financial models to evaluate potential business initiatives, capital investments, and strategic decisions.
    • Conduct market and competitive analysis to support business strategy.
    • Collaborate with department heads and senior leadership to evaluate financial performance and recommend business improvements.
  • Data Management:
    • Maintain and improve financial models and databases to track financial performance.
    • Ensure data accuracy and integrity in financial reporting, providing comprehensive insights to support decision-making by senior management.
    • Develop automated financial reporting processes to increase efficiency.
  • Risk Management & Compliance:
    • Monitor financial risks and identify mitigation strategies.
    • Ensure compliance with corporate policies, financial regulations, and internal controls.
  • Ad Hoc Analysis:
    • Perform various ad hoc financial analyses to support business decisions and special projects.
  • Participate in management of the annual budget process.

Qualifications

Education Qualifications

  • High School Diploma Required and
  • Bachelor's Degree Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience, in Business Administration, Computer Science, Logistics, Analytics or a related field. An advanced degree is preferred Preferred

Experience Qualifications

  • 7+ years Experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, or accounting Required and
  • 7+ years Experience with financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Sage, PowerBi, Hyperion, or other ERP systems). Required or
  • 7+ years Experience with accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS) and financial regulations. Required

Skills and Abilities

  • Proficient in analyzing financial data, managing budgets and operational costs (High proficiency)
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting. (High proficiency)
  • Advanced Excel skills, including the use of pivot tables, macros, and complex formulas. (High proficiency)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey financial data to non-financial stakeholders. (High proficiency)
  • Capacity to learn quickly, adapt to change and work in an objective driven environment (High proficiency)
  • Innovative problem solving, analytical and decision-making skills both Qualitative and Quantitative (High proficiency)
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines and work under pressure (High proficiency)
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple assignments/projects simultaneously (High proficiency)
  • Attention to detail and in-depth understanding of international and domestic laws and regulations (High proficiency)

Licenses and Certifications

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Preferred
