Non Trade Accounts Payable Agent II - Universal

The Non-Trade Accounts Payable Rep will be part of a team of 3 within the Non-Trade Accounts Payable department. This department is responsible for onboarding new non-trade vendors, maintaining current nontrade vendors, completing timely payments to our non-trade vendors and controlling expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices. Over time, this teammate will have opportunities to contribute to continuous improvement projects and take part in other cross-functional collaborations. This position will be responsible for assisting with current operating system maintenance, determining the root cause of issues, reducing errors, reviewing processes, and seeking efficiency improvement opportunities. This position will be viewed as a partner to other areas within the Corporate Finance department, especially with the GL Team, as well as other departments and locations in AIT, helping the Corporate Finance department's vision of achieving world class customer service.

• Completes payments and controls expenses by receiving, coding, processing, verifying and reconciling
  invoices.
• Charges expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing documentation, approvals, and company
  policies. Data entry of vendor invoices.
• Non-Trade Vendor Setup: Gathers W9 documentation for vendor setup .
• Non-Trade Vendor Payment: Monitors payment terms, schedules and prepares checks, and electronic payments, requests stop payments as needed, requests from multiple departments and stations, claims check process (coding, entering expenses) and expense reimbursements
• Contributes to month-end close process: Reviews AP detail transaction reports, resolves discrepancies, coordinates with GL team on completion of month-end tasks, updates monthly close checklist, books journal entries including various intercompany JE's and update various Excel spreadsheet reconciliations
• Non-Trade Vendor Maintenance: Keep vendor profiles current with updated W9, address and contact
  information.
• Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions .
• Resolve invoice or payment discrepancies
• Maintains historical records utilizing scanned document storage .
• Record and document company credit card purchases and payments .
• Create Accounts Receivable invoices for intercompany transactions and claims charge backs .
• Process and record Non-Trade Accounts Receivable activity
• Protects organization's confidential information.
• Performs other duties as assigned

• The wage range for this position is $23.90-$33.00 and may vary based on geography as well as relative knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience

Education
• High School Diploma (Required) and
• Associate's Degree (Preferred)

Experience
• 2+ years Experience in Accounting or Finance (Required) and
• 2+ years Knowledge of or experience with business principles, accounting procedures and GAAP (Preferred) and
• 2+ years previous experience within the freight industry, IT related functions, or within the Microsoft Dynamics AX a plus (Preferred)
