Overview
The Business Systems Analyst acts as a key liaison between business users and IT teams to identify and address business needs through technology-driven solutions. This role involves gathering and analyzing requirements, recommending process enhancements, and translating business objectives into detailed system specifications. Responsibilities also include designing and configuring automated systems, conducting testing, and supporting global systems and related international platforms and projects. The Business Systems Analyst will investigate and resolve issues, review enhancement and development requests, identify opportunities for process optimization, and maintain thorough documentation for all projects, processes, and objectives.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with IT team members to review and clarify requirements as needed, serving as the liaison between business project stakeholders and IT, while capturing business requirements for new and often complex initiatives
- Evaluate complex business challenges to be addressed through automated systems, and manage support portal items from initial report to final resolution—including reviewing, approving, and coordinating incident handoffs with third-party vendors
- Monitor existing application functionalities and define new ones as needed to maintain system integrity, while preparing technical documentation for system components and workflows. Translate business requirements into clear, actionable application specifications
- Identify system gaps and offers technical expertise to define business requirements for functional specifications, while scaling both new and existing systems, processes, and procedures in a cost-effective way. Contributes to a knowledge base of known issues and solutions to empower business users to resolve problems independently
- Configures system settings and options, and plans and performs unit, integration, and acceptance testing to ensure alignment with business requirements. Also responsible for conducting testing and developing training materials for new IT enhancements, along with other assigned duties.

Qualifications
Education
• Bachelor's Degree Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field (Required)
Experience
• 4+ years experience in business systems analysis, IT, or a related operational role (Required)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Transportation Management Systems such as CargoWise One High
• Jira or similar related software High
• Service Now or similar related software High
• SQL High
• Office 365 High
Licenses and Certifications
• - CargoWise Certified Professional (Required)
