Overview

The Senior Warehouse Manager will be responsible for warehouse activities to ensure the efficient and economical utilization of facilities for storing and distributing finished goods. This role will oversees the operations, customer service, administration and systems within the warehouse facility across multiple regions. This role will oversea a warehouse of over 70,000 Sq FT and manager over 20 warehouse workers teammates.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee one or multiple warehouse locations including all strategic initiatives, including but not limited to P&L responsibility, client relationships, contract negotiations and people management responsibility. Responsible for performance reviews, progressive performance management, merit conversations and hiring selection.
  • Use computerized systems to monitor stock levels, fulfills customer orders, ships and delivers merchandise to customer warehouse, wholesale or retail outlets. Selects, develops and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function
  • Review and analyze inventory reports and surplus stock lists to improve inventory control
  • Collect and interpret information on present and future distribution needs for planning purposes. Ensure conformity with shipping commitments; evaluate shipping deadlines and take corrective action to eliminate behind-schedule conditions
  • Coordinate special distribution efforts to achieve new product introduction
  • Responsible for receiving, storing and distributing finished goods
  • Supervise the receiving and storing of merchandise and finished goods supplies
  • Oversee the inspection of incoming material for conformity with order and specifications and for defects. Arrange for return of defective material
  • Arrange for inventory reviews and reconciles book inventories with physical counts

Qualifications

Education Qualifications

  • High School GED Required

Experience Qualifications

  • 7-10 years Experience in Warehouse Management including people management. Required

Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge in domestic, international and cartage freight forwarding warehousing services (High proficiency)
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) (Medium proficiency)

Licenses and Certifications

  • Forklift certification Required
