AI Solutions Specialist

The AI Solutions Specialist helps AIT teams identify business problems and build AI-enabled solutions that improve daily work. This role designs, configures, and deploys low-code and no-code automations, agents, and workflows, primarily using Microsoft Power Platform and Copilot Studio. Working with business, data, governance, and technology teams, the AI Solutions Specialist turns requirements into working solutions, supports them after deployment, and helps users adopt them. The role combines hands-on development with business partnership and ensures solutions meet AIT’s standards for data quality, security, and compliance.

• Business Problem Identification & AI Opportunity Discovery
  • Partner with operations, sales, customer solutions, and corporate teams to identify where AI and GenAI can improve efficiency, accuracy, or customer experience.
   • Review workflows and map pain points to practical AI-enabled solutions.
  • Translate business needs into clear requirements and working solutions in partnership with the AI team. 
• GenAI Tool Enablement & Solution Support
   • Serve as an internal expert on tools such as Microsoft Power Platform, Copilot Studio, Copilot, ChatGPT, and Claude.
  • Design, build, and deploy AI-powered automations and agents using Power Apps, Power Automate, Copilot Studio, Dataverse, and related tools.
  • Create prompts, templates, and use-case playbooks; configure agents with appropriate enterprise data, actions, and testing.
  • Connect systems through platform connectors and APIs, and troubleshoot solutions after deployment. 
• AI Adoption, Training & Change Management
   • Develop training materials, demos, and best-practice guides for business users.
  • Lead workshops, office hours, and onboarding sessions to build AI confidence across the organization.
  • Gather user feedback and refine solutions based on how they perform in daily work. 
• Data & Readiness Support
   • Work with data and technology teams to incorporate business context and appropriate data into AI solutions.
  • Support data quality reviews and readiness assessments from a business-user perspective.
  • Document solutions and follow AIT’s standards for security, governance, publishing, and ongoing support. 
• Research, Innovation & Industry Awareness
   • Stay current on AI and GenAI capabilities relevant to AIT’s business and technology platforms. 
  • Recommend new tools, capabilities, or approaches that can accelerate AIT’s AI roadmap.

• The wage range for this position is $120,470.00-$180,710.00 and may vary based on geography as well as relative knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience.

Education
 • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Analytics, Supply Chain, or a related field (required)
• Master's Degree in a related field (preferred) 

Experience
 • 3+ years building and deploying solutions with low-code or no-code platforms, such as Power Platform, Copilot Studio, or comparable tools, in a business setting (required)
• 2+ years hands-on experience using AI or GenAI tools to solve business problems, including prompt design or AI-assisted automation (required)
• 1+ years experience with Python, SQL, or a similar programming or scripting language to support analysis, automation, prototyping, or technical collaboration (required)
• Experience with cloud-based data, analytics, or AI platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Databricks (preferred)
• Experience working cross-functionally with business and technical teams; logistics or supply chain experience (preferred) 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
 • Business Acumen: Ability to understand operational workflows and translate business needs into practical solutions.
• Low-Code Development: Skill with Power Apps, Power Automate, Copilot Studio, Dataverse, or comparable platforms.
• GenAI Fluency: Ability to design prompts, configure and test agents, and use GenAI tools to create business-ready outputs.
• Communication: Strong storytelling and facilitation skills; able to simplify complex concepts for non-technical audiences.
• Change Management: Experience supporting technology adoption and user enablement.
• Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with operations, sales, IT, data science, and leadership teams.
• Technical Acumen: Ability to use scripting, connectors, and APIs where needed and support solutions through deployment and ongoing use.
• Governance: Ability to work within enterprise standards for data protection, security, and AI solution review. 

Licenses and Certifications
 • Microsoft Power Platform certifications, such as PL-200, PL-400, or PL-600 (preferred)
• Microsoft AI certifications, such as AI-102 or AI-900 (preferred)
• Copilot Studio, Databricks, or other cloud platform certifications (preferred)
• Applied AI or automation certifications (preferred)
